Who we are and what we do
From daring fiction to page-turning history, the Times Bookshop celebrates the literary heart of Britain’s oldest national daily newspaper. Featuring over 350,000 titles, with curated recommendations from our literary experts.
Not at the moment.
Sadly not. While everyone at Times Bookshop spends an almost unhealthy amount of time browsing in bricks-and-mortar bookshops, we don’t have one of our own!
Your best bet is to ask your publisher to get in touch with the buying team at Gardners, the UK’s biggest books wholesaler. We work with them to fulfil all orders placed with The Times Bookshop.
Placing an order
We certainly can, though there is an extra cost for delivery outside the UK. For further information, please see the Delivery section.
If you see an error message at checkout stating "Unfortunately one or more items in your cart can't be shipped to your location. Please choose a different delivery address" then please contact us.
Some of our delivery couriers need your mobile number to keep you updated on the delivery of your order and to get in touch if they have any issues with your delivery. We take our customer's personal data very seriously, so you can rest assured that we will never use this number for any other reason.
We certainly can, though there is an extra cost for delivery outside the UK. For further information, please see the Delivery section.
We aim to deliver all in-stock books within seven days to UK addresses and do our best to ensure they arrive in pristine condition. But we’re not perfect, so please accept our sincere apologies if there’s a delay to your order or if your book arrives damaged. For an update on your order or to tell us about a damaged book, please contact us using the Contact Us link at the bottom of the page, or by email on timesbookshop@monwell.co.uk. We will replace or refund damaged or faulty books according to your wishes and issue you with a freepost address so you can return the book to us at no cost to yourself.
If you are ordering more than one title and any of your books are not immediately available for any reason, we will deliver each book as soon as it is available and you will receive more than one package. This won't affect the cost of the delivery method you have chosen.

They certainly can. We offer worldwide delivery, with both tracked and untracked options available for most countries (a few countries have only one option available). The only exception are a small number of books that we are not allowed to ship to certain countries, usually if a publisher in that country has their own edition (and especially if it is in the same language).
We offer a freepost returns service for books being returned for the following reasons: 1) Item arrived damaged 2) Item was faulty (for example, a book has pages missing or sections have been misprinted) 3) The wrong item was sent. If you need to return a book for any of the reasons above, then contact us in the Contact Us section or on support@timesbookshop.co.uk and we will issue a code that will enable you to return the item free of charge. We can also arrange for a refund to be processed (including on any delivery fees paid) or a replacement to be sent. This applies to both UK and international orders. Of course it's also fine to return items that just aren't to your taste but you will need to return the book to us at your cost in order to receive a refund. There's lots more information on the packing slip you receive with your order - please ensure that you enclose this when sending books back to us.
