Here are a few verses from a couple of poems to give aflavour of the collection:

WOW, WOW, SHE LOVESME

When I first saw you,I was making a pitch.

Your kind of look, itmade me twitch.

I don't know whatit's all about,

I only know I want tosing and shout.

Youcame over, looked me in the eye.

Ifelt queasy, thought I might die.

Yousaid, 'Boy, you're the one I'm looking for.'

Nextthing I knew, I was on the floor.

Ithought:

Wow,wow, she loves me!

Wow,wow, I'm on a jet ski!

Wow,wow, oh god, she met me -

Wow,wow, it's my destiny.

THE PEACEDIVIDEND

Instead ofpaying for guns and bombs,

For massgraves and family tombs,

Put themoney to housing and schools

Sochildren won't use guns, only tools.

No arms tobuy, no soldiers to kill,

Use themoney for those who are ill.

Put themetal into cars,

The fuelto power rockets to Mars.

Save theexplosions for Bonfire Night

Instead ofblowing things up as you fight.

Put thenuclear threat to good use

Forshrinking tumours, not nuclear truce.

In placeof the men going into battle,

Let themcome home and raise our cattle;

Instead offighting to be free,

Fightingfor our place in industry.

Take yourwars out to the fields -

Bats andballs alone to wield.

Then youcan feel that you've just won

Withoutever firing a missile or gun.
