Eccentric, adventurous and kind-hearted, the beloved Moomins, created by Finnish writer and illustrator Tove Jansson, have endeared themselves to audiences since 1945. This mini wall calendar features 12 black-and-white illustrations of the much-loved characters from the comic strip that began in 1947 in the children’s section of the Finnish newspaper Ny Tid. In 1954, London’s biggest evening newspaper, the Evening News, began to publish the Moomin comics too.
